Holiday Greetings from Chief Crowell

Holiday Greetings from Chief Crowell

Dear Waterloo Region residents,

As the holiday season is upon us, I would like to extend warm wishes for a Merry Christmas and happy holiday!

I hope you are able to take a moment this holiday season to make lasting memories and, most importantly, spend quality time with your loved ones.

For many, holiday gatherings are filled with cultural traditions that reflect the diversity of the vibrant community we all call home. I am grateful for the many community partnerships and individuals who have made such valuable contributions to the Region. No matter how we celebrate, we are fortunate that we can all take pride in our differences.

To all those working this holiday season – including dedicated Waterloo Regional Police Service members - thank you for making the personal sacrifice of being away from your loved ones.

While the holiday season may be a joyful time for many, it may also be a difficult time of year for others and I encourage you to check in on one another. We have all been through so much over the past few years and the support of each other continues to be invaluable.

Please remember, if you are celebrating this holiday season, plan ahead and arrange for a safe ride home. Road safety is everyone’s responsibility. We all want to remember the holidays for the right reasons.

Lastly, I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued support as your police Service strives to serve with pride, honour, and respect to ensure all residents feel safe and are safe.

On behalf of Deputy Chief Shirley Hilton and myself, may the spirit of the season bring you much peace, joy, health, and happiness!

Yours truly,

Mark Crowell
Chief of Police
