Waterloo Region, Ontario – The Waterloo Regional Police Service is proud to announce its latest recruitment campaign – ‘LOVE What You Do.’
The development of the ‘LOVE What You Do’ campaign began in early 2017 with the goal of attracting diverse applicants with a passion for sharing their skills, backgrounds and abilities with the Waterloo Regional Police Service.
The campaign highlights the many exciting opportunities and rewards that accompany a multifaceted career in policing with the Waterloo Regional Police Service. It features videos, promotional materials and social media outreach showing officers in realistic, everyday situations. The first video has been released and is currently being played in Cineplex theatres across Waterloo Region. Watch the Love What You Do video on Youtube.
As part of the new recruitment strategy, a Women-Focused Police Constable Recruitment Program will also be held in March, 2018. This program will be held in addition to several other recruiting and information events.
“We need to recruit and attract candidates who are reflective of the communities we serve and this is another step toward creating a more personal connection and open communication with prospective future officers,” said Bryan Larkin, Chief of Police. “This will be an excellent opportunity for those interested in a policing career to learn about the process, ask questions and to get to know how they, too, can ‘LOVE What You Do.’”
