Male Arrested in Connection to Shooting Incident

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police, with assistance from the London Police Service, have made an arrest in connection to a shooting that occurred in Waterloo in September.

On September 28, 2018, at approximately 2 a.m., police responded to the area of King Street, near Dupont Street, in Waterloo for a report of a shooting.  Two males received non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.

On March 21, 2019, Waterloo Regional Police arrested a 32-year-old London male in connection to this incident. He faces several charges, including Pointing a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and two counts of Assault Causing Bodily Harm.

The male is scheduled to appear in Kitchener’s Ontario Court of Justice on March 22, 2019.
