On January 29, 2021, members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's Central Division Community Oriented Response Enforcement team conducted a traffic stop for a Highway Traffic Act violation, in the area of Westmount Road East and Ottawa Street South in Kitchener. Through investigation, police learned that the male driver was driving with no licence. As a result of the investigation, police seized suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl and cannabis. The driver was also found in possession of $9,800 in cash. A 22-year-old Kitchener male has been charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a schedule I substance, possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling and driving with no licence.
