More than $155,000 in Drugs Seized During Joint Investigation

Waterloo Region, Ontario – As part of a joint investigation into drug trafficking, the Waterloo Regional Police Service, Stratford Police Service, and the Ontario Provincial Police executed several search warrants in Kitchener, resulting in the arrest of five people and the seizure of several drug-related items.

The warrants were executed on March 21, 2019 at five residences. Items seized during the searches include digital scales, hydraulic drug press, bulletproof vest, prohibited firearm, ammunition and significant quantities of suspected fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, ecstasy, psilocybin, and gamma hydroxybutyrate. The approximate value of the seized drugs is $157,000.

Four females, aged 26, 32, 39, and 54, along with one male, aged 32, have been charged with several offences, including Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Other charges include Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device, Careless Storage of a Firearm, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Tampering with Serial Number on a Firearm. All accused are from Kitchener.
