Waterloo Region, Ontario - The Waterloo Regional Police Service is pleased to announce the launch of a six-episode podcast, Into the Blue.
The podcast, hosted by WRPS’ Constable Rachel Molner and Digital Content Coordinator Mark Araujo, shares a behind-the-scenes look into what it takes to become a police officer. In particular, the series highlights the personal journey of Constable Elias Srouji as he joins WRPS, completes his training, and responds to his first calls for service.
The podcast also highlights the personal journey of Constable Amanda Hutchings, an experienced officer who has committed herself to serving the community for the past five years.
Completed in partnership with the Ontario Police College, Into the Blue provides a unique and candid perspective on both the challenges and benefits of being an officer.
“Mark and Rachel did an incredible job providing personal insights from WRPS members on why people may choose to become officers and what keeps them motivated,” said Cherri Greeno, Director of Corporate Affairs. “This podcast provides powerful, honest, and realistic conversation and stories from new and experienced officers that will be invaluable information for anyone considering a career in policing.”
