Police are Looking to Identify Suspects in an Attempt Robbery Incident

On April 13, 2021, at approximately 9:40 p.m., Waterloo Regional Police responded to the area of Greenfield Avenue and Franklin Street South in Kitchener for reports of an attempted robbery.

A 29-year-old male victim was jogging in the area when he was approached by three suspects who brandished handguns and a knife and demanded his cell phone.

A short struggle ensued and the suspects fled the area on foot.

The victim suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident. The suspects have been described as white males in their early 20's.

The public is encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity or persons to police immediately. Anyone with information is encouraged to call police at 519-570-9777 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
