Police Arrest 46-year-old Female after Dispute Involving a Firearm in Kitchener

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s General Investigations Unit have made an arrest after a dispute involving a firearm in Kitchener.

On November 9, 2021, at approximately 4:25 p.m., officers responded to reports of a female who had brandished a firearm during an argument at a residence in the area of Highland Road East and Ruby Street.

As a result of the investigation, a search warrant was conducted at the female’s residence. Five firearms, three pellet guns and ammunition were seized.

A 46-year-old Kitchener female is facing several charges, including:

  • Pointing a firearm
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Possession of a firearm without a licence
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Unsafe storage of a firearm
  • Unsafe storage of ammunition

The female was held in custody for a bail hearing.
