
On March 23, 2021, the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Cybercrime - Internet Child Exploitation Unit with the assistance of the Queensland Police Service, and the Peel Regional Police Service, completed a historical 2016 child luring investigation. The investigation resulted in the arrest of a 40-year-old male, a former resident of Waterloo. The male was charged with Luring a Child and Making Sexually Explicit Material Available to a Child.
The subject used the usernames “madeincanada”, maverickkw79, and Kwguy34@gmail.com.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding any of his online personas, having online sexual interaction with anyone under the age of 18, to contact investigators in the Internet Child Exploitation Unit at 519-570-9777 ext. 8492.
