Police Arrest and Charge Driver for Impaired Following Wilmot Collision

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Police arrest and charge driver with impaired driving after responding to a collision in Wilmot.

On March 28, 2025, at approximately 11:30 p.m., emergency services responded to reports of a single motor vehicle collision in the area of Snyders Road East and Foundry Street.

Through the investigation, it was determined that the driver of the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. A passenger was transported to an out-of-region hospital with serious injuries. The driver sustained minor injuries.

Officers arrived and arrested the driver for impaired driving.

The driver, an 18-year-old Wilmot male was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired - Alcohol and Drugs
  • Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration
  • Dangerous Operation Causing Bodily Harm
