Police Arrest Two Males after Suspicious Vehicle Report in Kitchener

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police have arrested two males after a report of a suspicious vehicle in Kitchener.

On April 3, 2025, at approximately 5 a.m., police responded to the area of Bridge Street East and Hollinger Crescent after receiving a report of a suspicious rental truck.

Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle and detained the driver and passenger. Officers found the two males in possession of a grinder, grinding discs, a hammer, and a flashlight. Subsequent investigation revealed both were wanted on outstanding warrants in the Greater Toronto Area.

As a result of the investigation, a 32-year-old male and a 27-year-old Markham male were arrested and charged with:

  • Attempt break and enter
  • Possession of break and enter tools
  • Possession of master key
  • Failing to comply with a release order (three counts)
  • Possession of an identity document

The accused parties were held in police custody for a bail hearing.
