Police Arrest Wanted Female after Responding to Robbery at Kitchener Store

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police have laid robbery charges after an assault at a Kitchener store.

On November 6, 2024, at approximately 7:30 p.m., a female attended a store in the area of Victoria Street North and Highway 85 and selected merchandise from the shelves. Then, she attempted to leave the store without paying.

When confronted, the female assaulted one of the store employees.

Police responded to the area and located the female in the area of Victoria Street North and Dunham Avenue. Further investigation determined the female was wanted on outstanding warrants for three counts of assault, two counts of failing to comply with a release order and failing to appear in court.

As a result of the investigation, a 20-year-old female from Kitchener was charged with robbery with theft.

No physical injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
