Police Charge Cambridge Male with Child Pornography Offences

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police Service's Cybercrime - Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit has arrested a Cambridge male in relation to a child pornography investigation. 

In January 2023, the ICE Unit began a child pornography investigation after receiving information from the National Child Exploitation Coordination Centre regarding an individual distributing child pornography through various applications.

On April 20, 2023, investigators completed a search warrant at a residence in the area of St. Andrews Street and Cedar Street.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, police arrested and charged a 34-year-old Cambridge male with:

  • Possession of Child Pornography (two counts)
  • Distribution of Child Pornography (two counts)

The accused is scheduled to appear in court on May 24, 2023.
