Police Charge Two Kitchener Adults in Connection to a Drug Trafficking Investigation

In December 2020, members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's North Division Community Oriented Response and Enforcement (CORE) team commenced a drug trafficking investigation.

On February 25, 2021, as part of the ongoing investigation and with the assistance of the Emergency Response Team a search warrant was conducted at a residence on Lancaster Street West in Kitchener. 

As a result of the search, police seized suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine, imitation firearms, ammunition, a crossbow, a conductive energy weapon, bear spray, and numerous knives including a machete.

As a result of the investigation, a 44-year-old Kitchener male and a 39-year-old Kitchener female have been arrested and charged with numerous drug and weapon-related offences. Both individuals were held for a bail hearing.

The investigation remains ongoing and further charges are anticipated.
