Police Investigating after Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle in Kitchener

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Members of the Waterloo Regional Police's Traffic Services Unit are investigating a collision involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian. 

On November 26, 2022, at approximately 11:55 a.m., emergency services responded to the area of Charles Street East and Eby Street South in Kitchener for reports of a collision. 

Through the initial investigation, police determined a white Toyota SUV was travelling west on Charles Street when it struck a pedestrian on the north side of the roadway.

Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services transported the pedestrian, a 35-year-old Waterloo male, to a local hospital with serious non-life-threatening injuries. 

The driver of the motor vehicle, a 35-year-old Kitchener female, did not sustain any physical injuries. 

Charles Street East was closed to westbound traffic for several hours for the investigation and has since reopened.

The investigation is ongoing and charges are anticipated.
