Police Investigating Attempted Vehicle Theft in Waterloo

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Officers from Waterloo Regional Police Service’s North Division are investigating an attempted vehicle theft in Waterloo.

On April 16, 2025, at approximately 5:35 p.m., police received a report of an attempt to steal a running truck parked outside a business in the area of Marsland Drive and Lexington Road.

An unknown female entered the red Toyota Tacoma and attempted to drive away, striking a black GMC Sierra at a stop sign. The female fled the area in a sedan driven by an unknown male.

The investigation remains ongoing.

If you observe suspicious people in your neighbourhood looking into vehicles, contact police immediately. This will assist investigators in tracking patterns of criminal behaviour and potentially identifying suspects.
