Police Investigating Cambridge Person-on-Person Robbery Report

Ongoing robbery investigation.

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a report of a person-on-person robbery in Cambridge.

On June 28, 2024, at approximately 12 p.m., the victim confronted two unknown suspects that were attempting to steal property in the area of Water Street North and Simcoe Street.

The victim began to record the incident on their cell phone when they were assaulted by the suspects. The suspects took the victims phone, fled the area, and discarded the phone.

The victim, a 68-year-old male, was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening physical injuries.

This investigation is ongoing by WRPS’ General Investigations Unit.
