Police Investigating Pedestrian-Involved Collision in Kitchener

Media Release

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a collision in Kitchener involving a pedestrian.

On October 25, 2024, at approximately 6:20 p.m., emergency services responded to reports of a collision involving a Mazda and a pedestrian in the area of Highland Road and Lawrence Avenue.

The pedestrian, a 65-year-old Kitchener female, was transported by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services to a local hospital with minor physical injuries.

The driver of the Mazda, a 32-year-old Kitchener male, was not injured. 

The intersection was closed for two hours for the police investigation.

The investigation is ongoing, and charges are anticipated.
