UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police looking to identify person in connection to a shooting investigation.

On May 18, 2024, at approximately 11 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting at a business located in the area of King Street North and University Avenue West.

Police are asking for public assistance in identifying the person in the image below.

PREVIOUS MEDIA RELEASE:

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a shooting in Waterloo.

On May 18, 2024, at approximately 11 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting at a business located in the area of King Street North and University Avenue West.

Through investigation, police determined that a disturbance occurred while suspects were inside the business and shots were fired.

No physical injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

The investigation is ongoing by members of the WRPS' General Investigations Unit and Forensic Identification Unit.

Anyone with information or video footage is asked to call police at 519-570-9777, extension 6370.
