Police Lay Arson Charge after Responding to Fire in Kitchener

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male in connection to an arson investigation in Kitchener. 

On April 11, 2023, at approximately 2:30 a.m., emergency services responded to reports of a fire on the roadway in the area of Duke Street West and Breithaupt Street. 

The Kitchener Fire Department extinguished the fire. 

As a result of the investigation, a 31-year-old Kitchener male has been arrested and charged with Arson - Damage to Property. 

The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
