Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police will once again trade in their forage caps for cowboy hats in support of the Cops and Cowboys program, a fun event that raises money for the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.
The event will take place May 24, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Lone Star Texas Grill, located at 38 Pinebush Road in Cambridge. Members of the community are invited to attend the restaurant and take part in this worthwhile cause. Waterloo Regional Police Service members will be putting on aprons, rolling up their sleeves and waiting tables throughout the evening. They will be accepting “tips” that will be donated directly to the Law Enforcement Torch Run.
The Law Enforcement Torch Run is an annual event that includes officers from the Waterloo Regional Police Service, as well as other police agencies across Ontario. The run raises up to $1,000,000 each year with all money going directly to community programs, athlete training and costs associated with hosting the Special Olympics.
We welcome everyone to come out to this fun event and help support a great cause.
