Police Respond to Collision Involving an E-Bike in Cambridge

Waterloo Region, Ontario – WRPS’ Traffic Services Unit has laid charges after a collision involving an e-bike in Cambridge.

On June 3, 2023, at approximately 8 p.m., emergency services responded to a report of a collision between a black Ford truck and an e-bike on Dunbar Road near Hespeler Road.

The rider of the e-bike, a 23-year-old Cambridge male, was transported to a local hospital by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Ford, a 40-year-old London male, did not sustain any physical injuries.

A section of Dunbar Road was closed for several hours for the police investigation.

As a result of the investigation, the male from London was charged with Fail to Yield from Private Drive under the Highway Traffic Act.
