Police Respond to Weapons Incident and Complete Search Warrant in Kitchener

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male after responding to a weapons incident in Kitchener.

On March 20, 2025, at approximately 4:30 a.m., police responded to reports of a male in possession of a firearm at a residential building in the area of King Street East.

Officers arrived and arrested the male. There were no physical injuries reported. The firearm was determined to be a BB gun.

The investigation was continued by WRPS’ General Investigations Unit and investigators completed a search warrant at the residence and located and seized suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine and alprazolam.

As a result of the investigation, a 26-year-old Kitchener male was arrested and charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (two counts).
