Police Seeking Public’s Assistance in Locating Occupants of Vehicle in Cambridge

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police are attempting to locate the vehicle and occupants involved in an assault in Cambridge.

On January 5, 2025, at approximately 10:15 p.m., police responded to reports of a male assaulting a female while in a vehicle in the area of King Street East and Westminster Drive North.

Officers arrived in the area and the suspect vehicle fled. Due to concerns for safety of the female. Officers initiated a pursuit, which was later terminated due to public safety concerns. The vehicle was last seen travelling east on Highway 401 towards the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the vehicle and occupants in order to determine the wellbeing of the involved individuals.

The vehicle involved is described as a 2020 grey Hyundai Sonata with Ontario licence CVKN 589. The vehicle has damage to the front passenger door.

 Looking for any information on this vehicle.

The driver was described as male brown, 5’10”, 30 years, with a thin build, short to medium length dark hair and dark facial scruff.

The investigation is ongoing by WRPS’ General Investigations Unit.
