Police Seize a prohibited handgun, suspected cocaine, and fentanyl in a Search Warrant in Kitchener

On Wednesday, June 9, 2021, members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's Drugs and Firearms Team with the assistance of the Emergency Response Team conducted two search warrants at a Kitchener Hotel.

The search warrants were in connection to an alleged drug trafficking investigation.

Upon searching the hotel rooms, officers located a prohibited handgun, suspected cocaine, and fentanyl, along with weapons, Canadian currency, and other drug paraphernalia.

As a result of the investigation, a 32-year-old male and a 43-year-old female, both from Kitchener now face firearm and drug-related charges.
