Second Male Arrested in Homicide Investigation Appears in Court

Waterloo Region, Ontario –  A second male charged by Waterloo Regional Police in connection to the death of Shaun Yorke made an appearance in Kitchener’s Ontario Court of Justice this afternoon.

Kenneth Morrison, 27, from Kitchener, was arrested October 25, 2018. He has been charged with one count of First Degree Murder, one count of Robbery with a Restricted Firearm and one count of Forcible Confinement.

The charges were laid in connection to the homicide of Shaun Yorke, 45, of Kitchener, who was found deceased inside his residence at 150 Elm Ridge Drive at approximately 1:20 a.m. on July 8, 2018.

The cause of death was determined to be a result of a gunshot injury.

This is the second male charged in connection to the homicide investigation.

On October 24, 2018, Mowafag Saboon, 24, of Kitchener, was arrested and charged with several offences, including First Degree Murder, Robbery with a Restricted Firearm, Forcible Confinement, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Careless Storage of a Firearm, Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Occupant of a Motor Vehicle Knowing There Was a Firearm, Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition, Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Schedule I and

Possession of a Schedule II Substance.
