The Joint Waterloo-Guelph Human Trafficking Team Arrest Female for Procuring

On February 2, 2021, the joint Waterloo-Guelph Human Trafficking team arrested a 46-year-old Niagara Region female for Procuring. 

The arrest is in relation to an incident which occurred in Cambridge in 2020.  It’s alleged the accused attempted to coerce the victim into the sex trade industry in efforts to benefit financially.

The victim has now been provided with a safety plan and community resources due to the embedded Human Trafficking Crisis Intervention counsellor from Victim Services.
