Waterloo Regional Police are Investigating a Collision in the area of Sportsworld Drive in Kitchener

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a collision in Kitchener.
On December 5, 2023, at approximately 1 a.m., police responded to reports of a vehicle collision in the area of Sportsworld Drive and Highway 8.
Through the investigation, it was determined a motor vehicle struck a traffic light pole, causing it to fall onto the roadway. The roads were temporarily blocked until the city was able to respond.
The driver of the motor vehicle did not remain at the scene. Upon reviewing nearby cameras, it was determined a transport truck collided with the traffic light.
