Waterloo Regional Police are Investigating a Pedestrian Hit and Run in Cambridge

UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police have laid charges in connection to a hit-and-run collision in Cambridge.

On December 28, 2023, at approximately 5:50 a.m., emergency services responded to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian in the area of Saginaw Parkway and Franklin Boulevard. The involved vehicle did not remain at the collision.

As a result of the investigation, on December 29, 2023, the driver, a 55-year-old Cambridge male, was arrested and charged with public mischief, careless driving, failing to report an accident, and failing to apply for a permit upon becoming an owner.

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian in Cambridge.

On December 28, 2023, at approximately 5:50 a.m., emergency services responded to reports of a collision in the area of Saginaw Parkway and Franklin Boulevard.

The pedestrian, a 27-year-old Cambridge female, was transported to an out-of-region hospital by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services with non-life-threatening injuries.

The motor vehicle that struck the pedestrian is described as a dark-coloured van or pickup truck.

The intersection was closed for approximately three hours for the investigation.
