Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a 37-year-old Cambridge male in connection to an arson investigation.
On March 12, 2023, emergency services responded to reports of a fire in the area of Main Street and Harris Street in Cambridge.
A tent was intentionally set on fire while it was occupied.
Residents and security extinguished the fire. There were no physical injuries reported.
Through investigation, police identified the suspect.
On March 18, 2023, police arrested the accused for:
- Arson - disregard human life
- Arson - damage to property
The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
