
Waterloo Region, Ontario - Waterloo Regional Police have arrested two individuals after responding to a weapon call in Kitchener.
On December 12, 2022, at approximately 4:05 p.m., police responded to a residence in the Bridge Street East area.
Upon arrival, police located a 56-year-old male who had sustained a stab wound.
The male was transported to a local hospital by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services with non-life-threatening injuries.
A 45-year-old female was also transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
As a result of the investigation, police arrested both the male and the female.
The male was charged with Assault Cause Bodily Harm, Failure to Comply with Judicial Release (two counts) and Breach of Probation.
The female was charged with Assault with a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Assault Cause Bodily Harm and Uttering Threats.
The individuals were known to each other, and there was no risk to public safety.
