Waterloo Regional Police Arrest Youth after Stabbing Incident at Churchill Park

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male youth after responding to a stabbing incident in Cambridge. 

On September 19, 2022, at approximately 6:45 p.m., police responded to reports of a disturbance at Churchill Park, located at 200 Christopher Drive.

Upon arrival, officers located a male youth with injuries sustained from a stab wound. 

The male was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. 

Through investigation, police determined that a fight occurred between two youths that were known to each other. During the altercation, one youth was stabbed. 

Police identified and located the suspect, and a male youth was arrested. 

The male has been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. 

The accused is scheduled to appear in court on November 4, 2022. 

The investigation is ongoing.
