Waterloo Regional Police Charge a Kitchener Male After an Assault Involving a Noxious Substance

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police have charged a Kitchener male after an assault in Kitchener.

On September 14, 2024, police responded to the area of Sheldon Avenue North and King Street East for reports that two victims were sprayed with a noxious substance.

Upon investigation, officers learned the victims, an 18-year-old female, and a 24-year-old male, were approached by a known male. An altercation took place and the victims were sprayed with a noxious substance resulting in minor injuries.

As a result of the investigation, a 27-year-old Kitchener male has been charged with multiple offences including two counts of assault with a weapon and two counts of administering a noxious substance.

The accused was held for a bail hearing.
