Waterloo Regional Police Charge Male after Incident on Mausser Avenue in Kitchener

Waterloo Region, Ontario - Waterloo Regional Police have charged a 40-year-old male in connection with an incident on Mausser Avenue in Kitchener. 

On December 31, 2021, at approximately 4:30 a.m., police responded to a residence in the area for a report of a male in distress. 

Upon arrival, the male began threatening to cause harm to officers. The male was arrested and found in possession of a large knife. 

As a result of the investigation, the male was transported to hospital for assessment and charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and utter threats to cause death. 

The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
