Waterloo Regional Police continue to investigate a collision on Townline Road in Cambridge.

On Sunday, November 7, 2021, at approximately 8:30 p.m., members of the Waterloo Regional Police, Cambridge Fire, Regional Paramedic Services and Wellington County Paramedic Services attended a multi vehicle collision at the intersection of Townline Road an Pinebush Road in Cambridge.

The investigation revealed that a black GMC Jimmy driven by a 21-year-old female from Cambridge was travelling north on Townline Road when she made a left turn onto Pinebush Road. The Jimmy turned directly into the path of a Toyota Sienna Van, driven by a 25-year-old female from Kitchener, who was travelling south on Townline Road.

The impact of the collision caused the Jimmy to flip over onto its roof.

The nine occupants of the two vehicles were transported to three separate hospitals. Two occupants were taken to an out of region hospital. The injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The intersection was closed for several hours. The investigation remains ongoing and charges are pending.
