Waterloo Regional Police Continue to Investigate a Commercial Robbery in Kitchener

UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:

Waterloo Region, Ontario  Waterloo Regional Police Service's Robbery Team has laid charges in connection to a series of commercial robberies in Kitchener.

On July 24, July 30, and August 4, 2024, robberies occurred at a business in the area of Weber Street East and Fergus Avenue. In two of the incidents, a knife was brandished.

Through investigation, officers determined that the same male had committed each of the robberies and subsequently identified him.

On August 7, 2024, at approximately 5:20 a.m., members of WRPS' Robbery Team located the male in the area of Weber Street East and Kinzie Avenue and placed him under arrest.

As a result of the investigation, a 59-year-old male has been charged with two counts of Robbery with Violence and Break, enter a place - commit indictable offence.

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a commercial robbery in Kitchener.

On August 4, 2024, at approximately 5:20 a.m., police responded to reports of a robbery in the area of Weber Street East and Fergus Avenue.

The suspect threatened an employee with a knife prior to leaving the business with merchandise. The suspect left on foot prior to police arrival.

There were no physical injuries reported.

Police are looking for a white male, slim build, average height, wearing black clothing.
