Waterloo Regional Police Continue to Investigate a Fire in Kitchener

UPDATED RELEASE:

Waterloo Region, Ontario- Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s General Investigations Unit have made an arrest in connection to this investigation.

On November 24, 2021, police arrested a 32-year-old male from Kitchener. The male has been charged with arson.

PREVIOUS RELEASE:

Waterloo Region, Ontario - Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a fire in Kitchener.

On November 21, 2021, at approximately 1:30 a.m., emergency services responded to reports of a fire in the area of King Street East and Pandora Avenue South.

A fire had been started between the shed and building, which spread and caused both to structures to start on fire.

The suspect has been described a male, wearing a dark jacket with multiple layers, camouflage pants and a baseball cap. The suspect was seen carrying a large duffle bag.

There were no physical injuries report.

The investigation is ongoing by members of the General Investigation Unit.
