Waterloo Regional Police Continue to Investigate a Robbery in Cambridge

Robbery investigation ongoing.

UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police Service's General Investigations Unit have arrested a second youth in connection to a Cambridge robbery. 

On October 18, 2022, the victim was robbed in the area of Compass Trail and Pointer Street after meeting with a suspect to sell an item the victim had posted on a buy-and-sell website.

On November 17, 2022, police arrested a second youth in connection to this robbery. The youth has been charged with Robbery and is scheduled to appear in court on January 6, 2023.

The investigation is ongoing by WRPS' General Investigations Unit.

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's General Investigations Unit have arrested a youth in connection to a robbery that occurred on October 18, 2022. 

The male youth has been charged with Robbery and Theft under $5,000. 

The youth is scheduled to appear in court on December 9, 2022. 

The other suspects are still outstanding, and the investigation is ongoing.

Waterloo Region, Ontario  Police are investigating a robbery in Cambridge.

On October 18, 2022, at approximately 5:30 p.m., police received a report of a person-on-person robbery in the area of Compass Trail and Pointer Street.

The victim arranged to meet the suspect after posting an item for sale on a buy-and-sell website.

Upon meeting, the victim was assaulted by two suspects and the item being sold was stolen. The suspects then fled the area on foot.

No physical injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

The investigation is ongoing by WRPS’ General Investigations Unit.
