Waterloo Regional Police Continue to Investigate Homicide

Waterloo Region, Ontario –  The Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Major Crime unit is investigating a homicide that occurred in Kitchener on Monday, June 18, 2018.

Police responded to a residence, located at 926 Courtland Avenue East, at approximately 8:45 p.m., for a report of an injured male.

Ronald Chandler, 66, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The cause of death has been determined to be stab wounds.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Major Crime Unit, General Detectives and Forensic Identification officers continue to investigate this incident and are looking to speak to a male who was seen in the area at the time. He is described as white, in his late 20s to early 30s with a thin build and short, light-coloured hair. He was wearing a black backpack and carrying a guitar.
