Waterloo Regional Police Continue to Investigate the Murder of Kurt McKechnie

Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate the murder of  Kurt McKechnie, 56, from Cambridge.  

On January 31, 2019, at approximately 6:25 a.m., police responded to a residence on Southwood Drive in Cambridge for a report of an injured male. Upon arrival, police located Mr. McKechnie suffering from serious injuries as a result of gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Four people were seen leaving the area in a SUV at the time of the incident. Police continue to seek the public's assistance in identifying those individuals. 

Police believe the victim and the suspects are known to each other and that this was a targeted incident.
