
Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police arrested one individual after responding to a report of a warmup theft in Cambridge.
On February 4, 2025, at approximately 6:10 a.m., officers responded to the area of Taylor Avenue and Elliott Street for a report of a vehicle that was stolen while warming up.
At approximately 8:30 a.m., officers located the stolen vehicle in the area of King Street East and Waterloo Street. Officers arrested one of the occupants while the second occupant fled the area on foot.
As a result of the investigation, a 16-year-old Cambridge youth was arrested and charged with:
- Fail to comply release
- Fail to comply with probation
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are anticipated.
