
Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police Service's Traffic Services Unit is investigating a collision in Waterloo.
On February 22, 2024, at approximately 6:40 a.m., emergency services responded to the area of University Avenue East and Highway 85 for reports of a collision involving two vehicles.
The driver of a Chevrolet pickup truck, an 81-year-old Waterloo male was transported by air ambulance to an out-of-region hospital with non-life-threatening physical injuries.
The driver of a Hyundai sedan, a 19-year-old Waterloo male was transported by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services to a local hospital with non-life-threatening physical injuries.
Area roadways were closed for several hours for the police investigation.
The investigation is ongoing and charges are anticipated.
