Waterloo Regional Police Continuing to Investigate a Shooting in Kitchener

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a shooting incident that occurred in Kitchener on June 24, 2019.

Police responded to a plaza in the area of Fairway Road South and Wilson Avenue at approximately 5:40 p.m. after receiving multiple reports of gunshots fired.

Upon arrival, three victims were located – one with serious injuries. The victims were transported to hospital.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Major Crime Unit, General Detectives and Forensic Identification officers are currently investigating. There will be an increased police presence in the area as the investigation continues.

Police remind the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity or suspicious individuals to police.
