Waterloo Regional Police Continuing to Investigate Two Attempt Robberies in Cambridge

Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's Robbery Unit are looking to identify and speak to this individual in connection to two attempt robberies in Cambridge.

PREVIOUS RELEASE:

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police are investigating two attempt robberies in Cambridge.

On November 14, 2021, police responded to Franklin Boulevard and Main Street for reports of two attempt robberies. 

At approximately 1:05 a.m., the suspect approached the victim and demanded their vehicle. The suspect stated he had a gun, however, he did not present a weapon. The victim fought off the suspect, who then fled the area on foot.

Approximately three minutes later, the same suspect approached another vehicle parked behind a business. The suspect pulled a knife from their waistband and demanded their vehicle. The victim got out of their vehicle and ran into a store, and the suspect fled the area on foot.

There were no physical injuries reported in either incident. 

The suspect was described as a white male, 18 to 20 years old, approximately 5'9" tall, with a slim build. The male was last seen wearing a dark blue hat and denim jacket. 

The investigation is ongoing.
