Waterloo Region, Ontario – The Waterloo Regional Police Service is encouraging our community to stay home this long weekend and do their part to stop the spread of COVID-19.
During the long weekend, WRPS will launch its #NoPlaceLikeHome campaign, encouraging residents to find innovative and fun things to do at home to celebrate the Victoria Day weekend.
This could include:
- Holding a costume night with your family
- Hosting an indoor/outdoor picnic
- Having a scavenger hunt at home with your children
- Doing some gardening
- Hosting movie nights
- Filming your own cooking show
- Hosting a talent night with the family
- Having a family barbeque
- Coordinating a puzzle or board game night
Throughout the weekend, we will be encouraging people to send us photos through social media of the fun they are having at home. Be sure to include the hashtag #NoPlaceLikeHome.
To send us photos, please use the following social media platforms: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram.
Let’s commit to work together to spread the message, not the virus.
Stay home. Stay safe. Stay healthy.
