Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a 44-year-old male in connection to three separate assaults

Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a 44-year-old male in connection to three separate assaults.

On October 11, 2021, at approximately 11 a.m., three adult females were walking along King Street West in Kitchener when they were approached and assaulted by an unknown male.

The male left prior to police arrival but was later located a short distance away.

As a result of the investigation, the male has been arrested and charged with several offences including three counts of Assault, Strangulation, Utter Threats, and Possession of a schedule 1 substance. He was held for a bail hearing.

The victims sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene by Region of Waterloo Paramedics Services.

Police are treating this as a hate-motivated incident.
