Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police are investigating two separate sexual assaults against young girls that are believed to be linked.
On October 27, 2017, at approximately 7 p.m., a six-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in the stairwell of an apartment building, located at 318 Patricia Avenue in Kitchener. The suspect is believed to be someone who frequented the building or area.
Through investigation, officers now believe this same person is responsible for another sexual assault that occurred October 20, 2013, between the hours of 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. In this incident, a four-year-old girl was inside an apartment building, located at 429 Barrie Street in Waterloo, when she was approached by an unknown man and sexually assaulted.
The male is described as white, five-feet 10-inches to six-feet tall with a slim build.
Waterloo Regional Police are urging the person responsible for the assaults to come forward by contacting investigators or reporting to any police division.
