Waterloo Regional Police Investigate Suspicious Death

Waterloo Region, Ontario –  The Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Major Crime unit is investigating a suspicious death that occurred in Kitchener on Thursday, October 19, 2017.

Police responded to an apartment at 140 King Street West at approximately 4:30 p.m. for a report of an injured male.

Bernard Joseph Gallant, 73, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A post-mortem is scheduled to be conducted in Hamilton today.

A 19-year-old Waterloo female has been arrested in connection with this incident and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kitchener on Friday, October 20, 2017.

The victim and the accused were known to each other.
