Waterloo Regional Police Investigating a Serious Collision Involving a Pedestrian in Kitchener

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police’s Traffic Services Unit is investigating a serious collision in Kitchener.

On March 27, 2024, at approximately 12:10 a.m., emergency services responded to reports of a motor vehicle collision between a Mazda motor vehicle and a pedestrian at the intersection of Homer Watson Boulevard and Pioneer Drive. 

The pedestrian, a 29-year-old female from Kitchener, was transported to an out-of-region hospital with serious life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Mazda, a 22-year-old Kitchener female, sustained no injuries.

The intersection was closed for several hours for the police investigation.
