Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Cambridge Homicide

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating the death of an adult female from a residence on Queen Street West in Cambridge.  

On September 11, 2020, at approximately 10:30 a.m., Waterloo Regional Police received a 9-1-1 call regarding a medical emergency.

Upon arrival, police located the female deceased. The female’s death is being investigated by the WRPS Major Crime Unit as a homicide. 

An adult female, who is believed to be known to the victim, has been taken into custody in connection to this incident.

There is no concern for public safety.

There will be an increased police presence in the area of Queen Street West today, as officers continue to investigate.
